Explore Grill Champ

Grill Champ, located at P7, Bitoon, Circumferential Rd, Ozamiz, 7200 Misamis Occidental, Philippines, offers a unique dining experience with a spacious outdoor setting perfect for groups. The restaurant is relatively new but has quickly gained attention for its delicious food and friendly atmosphere. Although there is no air-conditioned seating, the open-air ambiance, complemented by light music, makes it an ideal spot for those seeking a casual yet flavorful meal. However, it can get crowded, especially during peak hours, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation if you're planning a group gathering.

The menu at Grill Champ features a variety of mouthwatering dishes. The pork, chicken, and fish are consistently praised for being cooked to perfection, and the rice, a crucial element in many local restaurants, is of high quality. While the beef can be a bit chewy for some, the overall taste of the dishes remains impressive. One standout item is the Utan Binisaya, a hearty vegetable soup made with ingredients like eggplant, okra, sitaw, and kalabasa. Priced at just ₱120, it serves 2-4 people, offering a wholesome, meat-free alternative for vegetable lovers.

The service at Grill Champ is generally efficient, though it can slow down during busy hours due to the smaller staff size. Still, the team is known for being accommodating, providing helpful suggestions and making guests feel welcomed. After your meal, be sure to indulge in their selection of cold ice cream - a perfect way to end the meal. One minor downside is that the restaurant closes relatively early at 8 PM, so it’s best to plan your visit accordingly.

Overall, Grill Champ provides a great dining experience with affordable options, flavorful dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular choice for those in Ozamiz.

I especially love their Utan Binisaya, known as law-uy to some. It's a clear soup where the ingredients are only vegetables - eggplant, okra, sitaw, kalabasa (squash) to name a few. Not a piece of meat nor seafood included! Serves 2-4 persons but only priced at ₱120! Chicken BBQ is also tasty. And the beer is really cold. Downside is that they close quite early, at 8PM. Overall it was a good experience given that the staff were also very courteous and accommodating.

Restaurant is fairly new . It's an outdoor restaurant so no Air conditioned seating area Place is quite big and is good for large groups but u may want to reserve first if you are planning to have a group lunch or dinner as its gets crowded sometimes . Food is delicious only complain that the beef is very chewy. Pork chicken and fish is cooked perfectly and delicious too . Staff are informative and suggest good option . Rice is good quality too as it's the define factor in many restaurants around here . Light music playing and after you finish your meal they have good selection of ice cream to eat . Will be back again to try the rest of the menu

Glad we were there early because the place can get crowded when it's almost lunch time. They have temperature checks and alcohol dispensers on entrances which is really great because COVID. Our server was really nice. Food was okay-ish, above average. I mean you can never go wrong with crispy pata and sinuglaw.Their sweet chili wing was a bit disappointing though. But that did not stop us from a having a great time. Will definitely come back!

This is a new place to dine in the city in an outdoor setting. I found it affordable to eat there. I found their staff very attentive as well. I loved the taste of their pork belly and chicken bbq. Adobong nokus and sizzling sisig were a bit salty for me. They put a cheese on the sisig which made it very salty. Try not to mix it though. I believe they are expanding because their is a construction going on beside it. Please see the photos for their menu and prices.

First grill restaurant I hit after coming back from Europe. It was alright I guess. Service was okay, not too long nor too fast. The staff are easy to communicate with too if you need drinks or food added on. And we're kind enough to set up fans cause it gets real hot now in the Philippines. As for the food: Tinola is good Fried kangkong good Calamari could be better Grilled panga good Pancit good The pork skewers could be better(it was chewy and lack of taste) Same for the pork belly bbq. And a heads up, get money off an ATM first hand. A Lot of places do not have the facility for card payments. Overall, is alright.

The food tastes homey, but their service seems slow nowadays especially during peak hours due to the low number of working crews. It took us about half an hour before we were entertained for our orders.
